    A Russian major general has been killed in Ukraine

    Independent Russian media confirm that Russian Major General Andrei Sukhovetskiy was killed during the war in Ukraine.

    The information about General Sukhovetskiy’s death first appeared on social media and was spread by Sergei Chipilev, a representative of the Paratroopers of the Russian Federation.

     

    Radio Swaboda confirmed these reports.

     

    The 47-year-old Andrei Sukhovetskiy was deputy commander of the 41st Army of the united forces of the Central Military District since autumn 2021.

     

    Sukhovetskiy is the highest-ranking Russian officer who was killed in the invasion of Ukraine.
