Ewa Swoboda with the best result in the world. She improved the Polish record! [VIDEO]

Ewa Swoboda broke the Polish record in the 60-meter run with the timing of 6.99. At the Polish indoor championships in Toruń, she won the competition over this distance, achieving the best result in the world this year.

Ewa Swoboda improved the Polish record she had set at the beginning of February in Łódź with the timing of 6.99 seconds. The national champion is the tenth athlete in the history of athletics to achieve the timing under 7 seconds in the 60-meter run. It is the best time for a European sprinter in the 21st century and the third result in Europe in history. Since 1993, the world record in the 60-metre run has been held by Russian Irina Privalova with 6.92.

“I’m really happy. It’s great that it worked out, and I’m going ahead. I have learned to enjoy running, and running is number one for me. What will happen in Belgrade? Whatever will be, will be. I hope everything will be okay, and I think anything is possible,” Swoboda said.
