Russian spy Pablo G. was caught by ABW. He used to be involved in the Left’s actions

Pablo G., who had been arrested by the ABW, heard the accusation of espionage for Russia. Months earlier – in November 2021 – the same man had instigated online protests by leftist circles demanding the admission of illegal immigrants to Poland. Politicians of the Left Together party had taken part in these demonstrations.

The portal polskatimes.pl reported that on February 25, the second day of the Russo-Ukrainian war, Pablo G. had been at Przemyśl railway station. He introduced himself as a Spanish journalist and reported on the arrival of a train with refugees from Odessa. Three days later, he was arrested.

It took place in a hotel in Przemyśl on the night of February 27-28. The information was not published until the morning of 4 March. Pablo G. heard the accusation of espionage for Russia. He was provisionally detained for three months. He is supposed to be Spanish of Russian origin. He was born in Moscow and has a wife and three children. In addition to Spanish, he speaks English, Russian and Polish.

“The man has been identified as an agent of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation (GRU). He used his journalistic status for Russia. This allowed him to move freely in Europe and the world, even in areas of conflict and political tension,” announced Spokesperson of the Minister-Special Services Coordinator, Stanisław Żaryn.

Now more and more information about Pablo G is being revealed. In 2021, the man promoted online demonstrations organised by left-wing circles calling for the admission of illegal immigrants from Belarus to Poland.
