Law and Justice (PiS) leader Jarosław Kaczyński is reportedly planning to form a broad right-wing coalition for next year’s parliamentary elections. At the same time, he is said to be aiming to split the Confederation party. Mariusz Gierszewski of Radio ZET has learned the names of politicians who are expected to join Kaczyński’s coalition.
Who Is on Kaczyński’s List?
According to the journalist’s sources, invitations to join the coalition have either already been extended or are expected to be sent soon to former Kukiz’15 leader Paweł Kukiz, former presidential candidate Marek Jakubiak, former leader of the Nonpartisan Local Government Activists movement Marek Woch, and the leaders of the Border Defense Movement. An invitation has also reportedly been offered to one of the leaders of the National Movement and Deputy Speaker of the Sejm, Krzysztof Bosak.
What About Mentzen?
According to the report, Kaczyński’s strategy has one main objective – to divide the Confederation party, of which Bosak is one of the leading figures. At the same time, sources cited by Radio ZET claim that Law and Justice (PiS) intends to emphasize that Confederation co-leader Sławomir Mentzen has nothing in common with the political right and is merely an entrepreneur “playing politics.”
Bosak Appears Alongside PiS Politicians at Key Panel
Kaczyński’s plans have reportedly already been discussed during several meetings. In mid-June, Krzysztof Bosak participated in the congress “Ambitious Poland: How to Strengthen the State in an Unstable World,” organized by the Security Energy Technology Foundation.
The foundation was established by Wojciech Dąbrowski, an energy sector executive and expert who served as President of the Management Board of PGE Polish Energy Group from 2020 to 2024.
Bosak took part in the panel discussion alongside Mariusz Błaszczak and Jacek Sasin.
