    Infinite Storm directed by a Pole succeeded on the American market [VIDEO]

    Critics review the new movie directed by Polish director Małgorzata Szumowska. “In honour of Infinite Storm releasing in theatres today, this week’s Female Filmmaker Friday is dedicated to the film’s brilliant director Małgorzata Szumowska and Naomi Watts,” Trudie Styler wrote.

    An English actress, film producer and director Trudie Styler dedicated her post on Instagram to Małgorzata and Naomi Watts. She points out that Małgorzata grew up in Poland and graduated from the National Film School in Łódź. There, she made short films and developed a passion for screenwriting. 

     

    “She then entered the directorial space creating Polish dramas such as Szczęśliwy człowiek, Ono, Ojciec, and 33 sceny z życia,” Styler writes. 

     

    “Malgorzata and Naomi now join forces to bring #InfiniteStorm to life, where an experienced hiker gets caught in a blizzard and attempts to save a stranger before nightfall. I want to congratulate these amazing women for this incredible feat and I look forward to all they will continue to accomplish. You can watch #InfiniteStorm in theatres now,” she adds.

     

     

     

    Description of the movie: 

     

    Infinite Storm is a Polish-American drama adventure film directed by Małgorzata Szumowska and Michał Englert. It was released on March 25, 2022, by Bleecker Street and received positive reviews from critics. 

     

    “As an experienced climber (Naomi Watts) ascends Mt. Washington, she turns back before she reaches the summit as a huge blizzard approaches. But on her way down, she encounters an alone, stranded man, and takes it upon herself to get them both down the mountain before nightfall arrives and they succumb to the storm. Based on a true story,” Somerville Theatre writes about the movie.
