The Ukrainian Embassy in the Republic of Poland, Legia Warszawa and the Legia Foundation are organising a unique event, namely a friendly game between Legia Warszawa and Dynamo Kyiv.
The match between Legia Warszawa and Dynamo Kyiv is the first meeting of the European series “Match for Peace!” The aim of the project is to raise as much money as possible to help Ukrainian citizens, especially internally displaced persons who have been forced to leave their homeland as a result of Russian aggression.
The funds from the game, the auction and the collection of the Legia Warsaw Foundation are to be donated to the accounts of the Ukrainian Embassy in the Republic of Poland, which are earmarked for the support of the most needy.
The match between the most successful teams of Poland and Ukraine will take place on Tuesday, April 12, 2022, at 8:30 pm at the Legia Stadium in Warsaw on Łazienkowska Street. Legia Warszawa is the first club in Europe to host a meeting with Dynamo Kyiv as part of the “Match for Peace!” series.
The aim of the meeting is also to draw the attention of the international community and the sports world to the dramatic situation in Ukraine and the continuing need for humanitarian aid.
