Flights in Warsaw suspended due to bomb threat [VIDEO]

Take-offs and landings at Warsaw Chopin Airport have been temporarily suspended owing to a bomb threat, the airport spokesperson told PAP on Thursday evening.

“The Chopin Airport services received a message about a potential threat regarding a flight from Dubai to Warsaw. After landing, the plane was directed to a remote part of the airport… routine checks are being carried out,” Piotr Rudzki said.

The spokesperson for the Border Guard, Anna Michalska, informed PAP that the plane landed at 7.30 pm and was directed to a side runway, where it was checked. The alarm was cancelled at 8.30 pm.

“There are no passengers onboard, but the plane is still being checked,” she said.

The spokesperson of Polish flag carrier PLL LOT, Krzysztof Moczulski, wrote on Twitter that some flights were suspended.
