Germany “not decided” to supply arms [VIDEO]

On the last day of the second month of the war in Ukraine, the Russian Army continued its attacks in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions. The invaders bury the killed civilians in Mariupol and carry out bombing raids on the last defenders of this port city. In Germany, a letter of representatives of the local elite was released, calling on the government not to provide aid to fighting Ukraine.

In turn, the former German chancellor, Gerhard Schroeder in an interview for the New York Times yesterday argued that Putin wants to end the war. He also stated that the Russian president has nothing to do with the crimes in Bucha. Schroeder, who has held high positions in Russian energy companies for years and visited Putin in Moscow in March, now wants to mediate in the Russian-Ukrainian conflict.

Many Ukrainians forced to leave home due to the war, celebrated an emotional Easter in Poland yesterday, as thoughts turned to their loved ones. Poland, a predominantly Roman Catholic nation, has always had a large Ukrainian diaspora, but Orthodox churches are expected to be much busier this year.

And finally, Rio’s elite samba schools returned to the Sambadrome yesterday for the second night of competition in Brazil’s largest Carnival.

Following a two-year hiatus as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, the dazzling parades started with top samba school Paraiso do Tuiuti, followed by members of all-time greats, Portela.

This year’s event was pushed back from its traditional date in February to April due to an increase in COVID-19 cases as the Omicron variant spread through the country.
