Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki appealed as he opened the Polish House at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland on Monday night. He said that the free world must create a new order, with an independent and sovereign Ukraine.
He argued that after Russia’s “barbaric attack” on Ukraine, a new world order should be created that makes such aggression impossible.
“We have to work towards a peaceful solution, but this peaceful solution has to mean that Ukraine has to be independent and sovereign,” Morawiecki added.
According to the Polish prime minister, Ukraine needs to be supplied with weapons to be able to “fight this brute force, military violence and war crimes.”
Morawiecki also said that “peace could reign in Ukraine only after Russia has been defeated by our actions, by devastating sanctions.”

“The Polish House in Davos is a space to discuss the challenges that lie ahead. The effects of war – such as rampant inflation – are not just Poland or EU issues but global ones. This war has not only a military front but also an economic one,” Prime Minister Morawiecki wrote on Twitter.
