On June 15th Europa Galante Orchestra conducted by Fabio Biondi will perform at the Cracovian ICE Classic festival. It’s a series of concerts by renowned classical music artists, organized by the ICE Krakow Congress Centre. Europa Galante’s concert will start at 7:30 P.M. and the group will play the most famous compositions by Antonio Vivaldi, Henry Purcell and Georg Friedrich Handel.
Fabio Bondi was born in Palermo, Italy in 1961. He is a violinist, conductor and pioneer in playing historical instruments. He also specializes in playing historical compositions, especially from the Baroque and early Middle Ages. During the concert, Europa Galante will perform Antonio Vivaldi’s “The Four Seasons”, and Henry Purcell’s “The Fairy Queen” – a semi-opera inspired by “A Midsummer Night’s Dream”, as well as three arias composed by Georg Friedrich Handel. They will be sung by Emőke Baráth (born 1985), a Hungarian soprano known for operas such as “Elena” and “Hipermestra”.
The concert will take place at 7:30 P.M. at the Auditorium of ICE Congress Centre. Later in the series are concerts by Il Giardino Armonico on August 30th and Royal Philharmonic Orchestra on October 10th, 2022. Costs of the tickets vary from 20 PLN to 150 PLN.
