The summary of the 112th day of the war in Ukraine – Russia avoids direct clashes [VIDEO]

Day 112 of the war in Ukraine. The toughest fighting at present is in the Donetsk Oblast. The Russians are gradually introducing their own administration in the occupied territories. Despite the relatively stable position in the Luhansk Oblast, Russia tries to avoid direct clashes by firing at the Ukrainian troops stationed at the front line.

The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, confirmed that fierce fighting has been going on in eastern Ukraine for 24 hours. According to the president, maintaining the position in Donbas is crucial, because it depends on who will gain the advantage for the next few weeks. He also talked about the numerous losses suffered in Severodonetsk and in the Kharkiv region.

“We keep telling our partners that Ukraine needs modern anti-missile weapons. Our country does not have a sufficient level of them. Delays in delivering these weapons don’t have a good explanation. I emphasize this all the time when I talk to our partners. We made our first request for anti-missile systems long before the invasion. Russia has large amounts of old Soviet missiles that are even more dangerous. They are many times less precise, which makes them much more dangerous to civilian buildings and ordinary residential buildings,” he said.
