Poland’s national basketball team defeated Israel in Lublin after extra time 90:85 in a meeting of the fifth round of the 2023 World Cup qualifiers. Thanks to the victory, the red and white team still have a chance to advance to the second stage of the qualifiers.

Germany leads with four wins and one defeat and the team is confident of advancing to the second round from first place. Poland, Israel and Estonia have a balance of 2-3. The top three teams in the group will advance to the second stage of the basketball World Cup qualification.
The white-reds need to win on Sunday against the leaders of Group D of the 2023 World Cup qualifiers to advance to the World Cup. Sunday’s match between Germany and Poland in Bremen will start at 6 p.m.
