This is another strong endorsement of British support for the eastern flank,” Mariusz Błaszczak, the Minister of National Defence, informed on Twitter today.

Poland’s Defense Minister @mblaszczak confirms that a squadron of British Challenger 2 tanks is arriving to Poland this week.
The tanks will join a squadron of Queen’s Royal Hussars who will be part of the 21st Polish Brigade for 6 months.

In May, President Andrzej Duda extended the permission for British troops to stay in Poland until the end of 2022.
The order applies to a component of up to 155 soldiers and civilian personnel, together with weapons, equipment and combat assets and up to 55 vehicles, for the purpose of military reinforcement of the Polish Armed Forces in a military crisis response operation conducted on Polish territory.
