Poland defeated Serbia 3:0 (25:20, 27:25, 25:18) in the second match of the U22 European Men’s Championship at the Arena Jaskółka in Tarnów. The Poles have one win and one defeat on their account. At the inauguration, they lost to France 2:3. However, they still have a chance to advance to the semi-finals. Today, the Poles will face Austria.
The first set started with a head-to-head play. In the second half of the first part of the match, the hosts played much better. The Polish team kept a cool head in the decisive parts of the game and won 25:20.
The next set started much better for Serbians. Unfortunately, the Poles did not avoid simple errors. A short break at the request of coach Daniel Pliński calmed down the game of our team. A moment later, the Serbian team, thanks to a series of really strong plays by Nikolic, jumped on three points at 18:15. The end of this part was very exciting and fierce. White-and-reds kept their nerves and won on advantage 27:25.
The Polish national team went with the flow. The Serbs had big problems at the beginning of the third set. Until the end of the set, the white-and-red team dictated the conditions of the game, winning confidently.
Today, Poles will face Austria in the third match of the European U22 Men’s Championship at the Arena Jaskółka in Tarnów.
