U.S. Ambassador Mark Brzezinski visited Jasna Góra Monastery yesterday

On Friday, U.S Ambassador Mark Brzezinski visited Częstochowa and The Shrine of Our Lady of Czestochowa on Jasna Góra. At noon, the US Ambassador to Poland was welcomed by the prior of Jasna Góra, Father Samuel Pacholski, in the convent’s courtyard. The Ambassador continues his sightseeing tour in Poland. Recently he has visited, among others, the Polish Tatra Mountains and the Wieliczka Salt Mine.

U.S Ambassador Mark Brzezinski was very moved by the visit at the monastery because he has been never there before. This first visit in one of the most famous churches in Poland reminded him about his family. According to the official post on Twitter, the Jasna Góra Monastery was the topic of the talks in his family home.

Moreover, the Ambassador appreciated the commitment of Poles to help the Ukraine refugees. “Thank you for doing what I think is worthy of the Nobel Peace Prize.”, Brzezinski said.

Today, on the last day of @USAmbPoland’s stay in the south of Poland,  we went to Częstochowa.  After the meetings with local authorities, entrepreneurs as well as pupils and students, we could not forget to put a visit to The Shrine of Our Lady of Czestochowa on Jasna Góra on our schedule.

Besides paying a visit to the monastery, he also met with the city authorities. According to the magistrate, together with the President of Częstochowa, they discussed the current economic situation in the city, investments in a special economic zone, strategic directions of the city’s development and recently implemented municipal investment tasks, as well as the presence of American capital companies that have invested or are currently investing in Częstochowa.
