The Pole threw 82.00 meters in the final of the competition. Thus, Wojciech Nowicki defended the gold medal and the champion title of the 2018 European Championships.
“There is another medal for Poland and for me. Today was a fun contest. I was not expecting that I would throw so far, nor did I expect that the Hungarian would be so strong. I treated the eliminations and the final as training and that was the key to success. Such a result (82 meters) is a big surprise and motivation for the future”, Nowicki said after the competition.
