Adrianna Sułek won the 800 m race, ahead of Switzerland Kalin in the women’s heptathlon overall classification and won the silver medal at the European Championships! For our Polish athlete, it is a really valuable victory and award because she has been struggling with an injury even before the competitions in Munich started.
After six competitions of the women’s heptathlon, Sułek was placed 3rd on the list but her achievement of 2.09.49 ensured a silver medal in the 800m race. Our Polish representative scored 6532 points in total. The silver medal at the European Championships is the greatest success in the career of 23-year-old Sułek. In the July world championship in Eugene, she took fourth place.
The moment when bronze turns into silver!

If Adrianna Sułek truly has a torn muscle in one of her legs, her doctor deserves a medal. She limped off the track Wednesday, but she opened Thursday with two PRs – in the long jump and javelin – and is showing no trace of her injury.
