Tusk’s Government Silent on Border Closure with Germany. Nawrocki: “Poles Want to Live in a Safe Country!”

“Polish men and women have the right to live in a safe Poland, free from illegal immigrants who are currently crossing our borders — and yet Donald Tusk’s government is not prepared to close that border,” said Karol Nawrocki during a meeting with residents of Pabianice. The civic candidate for President of the Republic of Poland reiterated that if elected head of state, he would unilaterally withdraw from the EU migration pact.

Illegal migration has long been a problem for European countries, which, as a result of disastrous decisions — including those by Angela Merkel and later Ursula von der Leyen — are now struggling with increasing violence. Acts of aggression, often committed by foreigners, are becoming more common in countries such as Germany, Belgium, and the Netherlands. Similar issues may soon confront Polish society as well.

Reports continue to emerge about migrants being pushed across the border into Poland from Germany. Yet the Polish government remains silent and has failed to respond to growing calls — from both the opposition and ordinary citizens — to close the border. Another protest was held today in Gubin under the banner “Stop Illegal Migration,” with participation from Gazeta Polska Clubs. The Border Defense Movement, launched by Robert Bąkiewicz, is gaining momentum, attracting more and more Poles who fear an influx of illegal and potentially dangerous migrants into the country.

Today in Pabianice (Łódź Voivodeship), Karol Nawrocki met with local residents.

“Polish citizens have the right to live in a secure country without illegal immigrants crossing our borders, and yet Donald Tusk’s government refuses to close it. As President of Poland, I will push for a unilateral withdrawal from the EU migration pact and I am prepared to take bold and decisive action along our western border,”
said the civic presidential candidate.

He added that in times of national security threats, it is the duty of both the President and the Prime Minister to “close the border if necessary.”

Furthermore, Dr. Nawrocki pointed out that in Pabianice, a “lack of funding for a local tunnel project” is being cited — while at the same time, “money is available for 49 integration centers for illegal migrants.”
