Anna Wielgosz won a bronze medal at the European Athletics Championships in Munich in the 800-meter run. What is more, after a brilliant competition, the Polish women’s 4x400m relay team won the silver medal in the European Athletics Championships.
In the 800-meter run in Munich, Hodgkinson was first with a time of 1.59.04, and Lamote was second with a time of 1.59.49. Anna Wielgosz won the bronze medal with a time of 1.59.87.

The Polish women ran in the lineup: Anna Kiełbasińska, Iga Baumgart-Witan, Justyna Święty-Ersetic and Natalia Kaczmarek.
Kiełbasińska started superbly, passing the baton to Baumgart-Witan in the first position. In the second change, the Dutch women came to the lead. However, our athlete still kept close. Four relay teams were still fighting for the victory when Kaczmarek entered the battle, taking over the baton from Święty-Ersetic. The Pole, who is in excellent form, won silver for our team with a fantastic finish, overtaking two rivals in the final meters.

In addition, Klaudia Wojtniuk advanced to tomorrow’s semifinals in the 100m gossip run with a time of 13.40.
Another final took place today in Munich. Anna Konieczek took 4th place in Women’s 3000m Steeplechase. That’s her life record. She said for TVP:
“I dreamed of this medal. Maybe if I had gathered myself earlier? A little to work on that self-confidence. 4th place, a lifetime best – life is beautiful.”
