    2022 World Rowing Championships: Gold and silver for Poles!

    The Men’s Quadruple Sculls (Fabian Baranski, Miroslaw Ziętarski, Mateusz Biskup and Dominik Czaja) won the gold medal at the World Rowing Championships held in Racice, Czech Republic. The Poles were 0.89 seconds ahead of the British and third place went to the Italians. What’s more, Jolanta Majka and Michał Gadowski won a silver medal in PR2 Mixed Double Sculls.

     

     

    “We’ve got it!!! Scholars of the #KGHM programme – “Copper Rivalry” – with the gold at the rowing world championships! Bravo, congratulations! P.S. It’s the first title for a white and red team in this competition in 13 years!” KHGM wrote on Twitter.

     

     

     

    Also today, the silver medal in the A-FINAL PR2 Mixed Double Sculls (PR2 Mix2x) was won by Jolanta Majka and Michał Gadowski.

     

    “Tired but happy – Jola Majka and Michal Gadowski with the silver medal of the Para- Mixed Double Sculls World Championships! An incredibly even race, worthy of a world championship final – and only the Ukrainians were ahead of the Poles!” Polish Paralympic Committee informed on Twitter.
