After WorldSkills Europe’s recent decision to move the event from the Russian Federation, where the competition was originally scheduled to take place in St. Petersburg in August 2023, WorldSkills Europe has asked Germany, Luxembourg and Poland to host EuroSkills 2023. These countries had previously expressed their intention to apply for the organization of the EuroSkills 2027 Competition (Germany and Luxembourg submitted a joint bid for 2027). The decision to invite Poland to submit an offer for the organization of the event was made in accordance with the internal procedures for selecting future hosts of the EuroSkills competition. All parties agreed that WorldSkills Poland is currently the best candidate to take on such a huge challenge as the organization of the EuroSkills 2023 competition in such a short time. WorldSkills Germany and WorldSkills Luxembourg fully support WorldSkills Poland’s decision to accelerate its offer and the organization of EuroSkills 2023.
