A teenage mother and her cohabitee have been arrested in connection with the discovery of the body of a 4.5-year-old boy, a spokeswoman for the regional police commander in Radom, sub-inspector Katarzyna Kucharska, told the Polish Press Agency.
Kucharska said that on 21 October, the child’s great-grandmother reported her great-grandson, with whom she had not been in contact for a long time, missing at the capital’s police station. Since then, the search has been conducted by police officers from the Capital Police Headquarters, Mińsk Mazowiecki, Radom Regional Police Headquarters and Garwolin Police Headquarters. On Wednesday morning, the body of the 4.5-year-old was found.
“The corpse was buried in a forest in the village of Ruda Talubska in the Garwolin district. Two 19-year-old people are detained in the case,” Kucharska informed. They are the child’s mother and her cohabitee.
The activities are taking place under the supervision of the district prosecutor’s office in Siedlce, which is conducting the investigation.
“On the night of 25-26 October this year, the corpse of a 4.5-year-old boy was revealed in the village of Górki near Garwolin. As a result, an investigation has been opened at the local prosecutor’s office in the direction of murder,” prosecutor Krzysztof Czyżewski from the District Prosecutor’s Office in Siedlce has informed PAP. He added that the prosecutor’s office is in the process of investigating the case. An autopsy of the child’s body has also been ordered.
