Dawid Kubacki wins the World Cup in Wisla-Malinka!

Dawid Kubacki won Sunday’s competition on Adam Małysz’s ski jump. Also, Piotr Zyla and Pawel Wasek advanced to the final of the competition in Wisla. Slovene Anze Lanisek and Norwegian Marius Lindvik were also on the podium.

The new ski jumping World Cup season got off to a great start for Polish fans on Saturday. Although there was no snow in Wisła Malinka and the athletes landed on green clay, there was no shortage of fantastic jumps and a great victory of Dawid Kubacki. On Sunday, the Polish world champion from Seefeld confirmed his great form in the qualification round, but unfortunately, bad luck did not leave the other pillar of the white and red team. Kamil Stoch was disqualified due to an overly bulky suit and nine Poles were finally on the start list.

Dawid Kubacki dominates in Wisla

Piotr Zyla came across difficult conditions in the first round, but he could not be satisfied with his attempt. He landed at 125.5 m and was only 13th at halftime.

Three Poles were able to qualify for the second round – Pawel Wasek was 23rd. However, Saturday’s winner and current World Cup leader proved his class. Dawid Kubacki jumped on 131 m in the first round and once again did not give the competition a chance.
