An Independence March is organised to mark Poland’s Independence Day and has set off from the centre of Warsaw today.
The rally is held in Warsaw every year to mark Poland’s Independence Day on November 11. This year’s march was peaceful, despite large numbers of police deployed in central Warsaw.
The marchers passed along Jerozolimskie Avenue, one of Warsaw’s main roads, and proceeded across the River Vistula to the National Stadium where the march ended around 7 pm.
Among the participants were some government officials including Zbigniew Ziobro, Janusz Kowalski, Patryk Jaki, and Jacek Ozdoba. The ‘Gazeta Polska’ Clubs also took part in this Independence March. Nearly 100,000 people took to the streets of the city.
