Two deadly earthquakes in Syria and Turkey – Nearly 2,300 people dead and over 10,000 injured

At least 2,300 people were killed and more than 10,000 injured by an earthquake that struck southeastern Turkey and northern Syria this morning. Shocks of magnitude 7.8 in Turkey alone led to the destruction of more than one thousand seven hundred buildings.
