Over the last 24 hours, police officers instructed 2,450 people, imposed fines on over 3,630 people, and in over 500 cases they sent motions for punishment to the court for not covering the nose and mouth, spokesman of the Police, insp. Mariusz Ciarka informed.
Police officers taking up actions related to fighting the epidemic in Poland verified people sent to quarantine almost 18.6 million times.
“In the last 24 hours, we verified over 204 000 quarantined people, and found about 700 cases of violation qualifying for legal consequences,” the policeman said.
He also said that since the coronavirus outbreak began, 667 policemen and 80 police employees infected with the virus have recovered. “Since the beginning of the operations, approximately 1,450 policemen and 180 police employees have been infected, so these numbers show that the virus does not bypass the uniformed. 9,550 policemen were in quarantine,” the Police spokesman said adding that there are currently about 1,640 officers in quarantine.
