Polish Hamas Hostage Receives Treatment, Informes Security Chief

“A citizen with both Israeli and Polish ties, Alex Danzig, who was taken captive by Hamas during an attack on Israel in early October, is confirmed alive and receiving necessary medical care, as shared by a senior Polish security official.

Jacek Siewiera, the head of the National Security Bureau, disclosed to state broadcaster TVP Info that Danzig is undergoing intensive treatment related to health concerns, which is seen as positive news.

Reports from 7Israel indicated that the 75-year-old, seized from his residence in the southern Israeli Nir Oz kibbutz by Hamas, is in good spirits and managed to send messages to his family through a fellow hostage released earlier this week.

Siewiera mentioned ongoing efforts aimed at securing Danzig’s release, involving discussions facilitated by Qatar, acting as an intermediary between the conflicting parties.

“We’re committed to following the president’s directives and sparing no effort in securing his freedom,” Siewiera emphasized, hinting at continued international involvement in ensuring regional national security.”
