President Duda to join global leaders at Paris Olympics opening, support Polish athletes throughout the four-day visit.
Polish President Andrzej Duda will attend the opening ceremony of the Paris Olympics on Friday, an event taking place on the Seine River for the first time. His four-day visit to France will also see him supporting Polish athletes.
President Duda’s visit begins Thursday afternoon. On Friday, he will inaugurate the Polish House in Paris and witness the swearing-in of Polish athletes and PKOl representatives.
Olympic Events and VIP Attendees
On Saturday, he will visit the Olympic Village and watch a volleyball match between Poland and Egypt. On Sunday, Duda will cheer for Polish competitors in rowing and women’s volleyball against Japan.
The opening ceremony will feature leaders from around 100 countries, including UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer and US First Lady Jill Biden. However, the participation of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky remains uncertain.
