Polenergia Unveils Poland’s Fastest EV Charging Stations

Polenergia, Poland’s leading private energy group, has launched the nation’s fastest electric vehicle (EV) charging stations. These ultra-fast chargers, featuring 400 kW power and liquid cooling technology, are strategically installed along the Wielkopolska Highway. Located at the Chociszewo rest area, between Poznań and Frankfurt an der Oder, and near the S3 expressway, they are the most powerful charging stations currently available in Poland.

This initiative represents the first phase of Polenergia’s extensive plan to enhance infrastructure along the A2 Highway. The company aims to eventually set up chargers at eight different rest areas along this route.

“Polenergia eMobility is creating a comprehensive network of charging stations across the country. Today, we introduce our flagship product, the fastest chargers in Poland. These 400 kW units enable drivers to recharge their electric vehicles in just minutes. The rapid expansion of charging infrastructure in Western Europe is undeniable. Our initiative addresses the increasing demand from drivers in Poland. We believe that the technological advancements we offer will accelerate the growth of the Polish electromobility sector,” stated Jerzy Zań, CEO of Polenergia S.A.

    Partnership with Wielkopolska Highway

The Wielkopolska Highway, a key expressway in Poland, now hosts these cutting-edge charging stations at the Chociszewo rest area. Positioned about 10 minutes from the S3 expressway, part of the international E65 route within the trans-European TEN-T transport corridor, these stations are set to significantly boost EV infrastructure.

Polenergia plans to extend this service to eight rest areas: Chociszewo, Rogoziniec, Dopiewiec, Konarzewo, Targowa Górka, Chwałszyce, Skarboszewo, and Lądek.

    Collaboration with Ekoenergetyka

Polenergia has partnered with Polish manufacturer Ekoenergetyka to install high-speed EV chargers. Ekoenergetyka supplies innovative charging solutions used across Europe, including cities like Paris, Madrid, Stockholm, Berlin, Munich, Warsaw, and Krakow.

Polenergia eMobility manages the network expansion, powered by renewable energy meeting the Energia 2051 standard. During peak renewable energy production, significant discounts are offered.

Until August 2024, the “Hours and Weekends with OZE” promotion offers EV charging at 1.39 PLN/kWh for DC stations and 1.60 PLN/kWh for AC stations from Monday to Friday between 11:00 AM and 3:00 PM. On weekends, both DC and AC stations are 1.39 PLN/kWh.

    Polenergia’s Broader Vision

Polenergia, Poland’s largest private energy group, focuses on renewable and low-emission energy, including onshore wind farms, photovoltaic farms, electromobility, and hydrogen transformation. In collaboration with Equinor, they are building offshore wind farms in the Baltic Sea with up to 3000 MW capacity.
