Prosecutors Investigate Possible Abduction in Disappearance of Izabela Parzyszek

The case of Izabela Parzyszek, who went missing on August 9, has taken a dark turn as local authorities suspect she may have been abducted. The District Prosecutor’s Office in Bolesławiec is now investigating the possibility that Parzyszek was unlawfully deprived of her freedom, following the discovery of her abandoned car near the A4 motorway.

Reports indicate that despite initial claims by Parzyszek that her vehicle had broken down, experts have confirmed it was not malfunctioning. Surveillance footage shows Parzyszek stopped briefly at a store before heading to a hospital in Wrocław, where she was supposed to pick up her father later that evening. She never arrived at the hospital.

Approximately 20 kilometres from her home, near Kwiatów, Parzyszek called her father to say her car had stalled and she was unable to collect him. An hour later, she informed him she had not arranged for a tow truck. When her father’s friends arrived to help, they found only the locked car with Parzyszek’s phone inside and no sign of her.

Prosecutor Ewa Węglarowicz-Makowska from the Jelenia Góra Prosecutor’s Office has confirmed that the investigation will initially focus on Article 189, § 1 of the Polish Penal Code, which addresses unlawful deprivation of liberty. Authorities are urging anyone with information about Parzyszek’s whereabouts to come forward as they continue to search for answers in this troubling case.
