Katarzyna Piter of Poland, teamed with Hungary’s Fanny Stollar, has earned a place in the doubles final at the WTA 250 tournament in Jiujiang, China. The duo displayed commanding form in the semifinals, defeating Russia’s Jelena Pridankina and Jekaterina Yashina in straight sets, 6-1, 6-3.
The fourth-seeded pair has built on their recent success, having reached the finals just last week in Guangzhou, where they eventually lost to top players Katerina Siniakova and Shuai Zhang. Their performance in Jiujiang has been similarly strong, winning three matches while losing only one set.
Piter, now aiming for her fourth WTA doubles title and third with Stollar, will face a tough challenge in the final against China’s Guo Hanyu and Japan’s Moyuka Uchijima.
