President Duda Embarks on Historic Visit to Armenia

Polish President Andrzej Duda and First Lady Agata Kornhauser-Duda have begun an official visit to Armenia, marking the first visit by a Polish president to the country in 13 years. President Duda will meet with Armenian President Vahagn Khachaturyan and Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan to discuss the Armenia-Azerbaijan peace process and regional stability. The discussions will also address the war in Ukraine, Russia’s aggressive policies, and EU sanctions.

    Expanding Bilateral and EU Relations

The visit will focus on strengthening economic ties and exploring Armenia’s growing cooperation with the EU. As Poland prepares to take over the EU Council presidency in January, President Duda aims to promote EU enlargement and Armenia’s alignment with Western policies.

During the visit, the President will meet representatives of the Armenian Polish community and visit the Armenian Stock Exchange, where Poland holds a majority stake. He will also engage with members of the EU Mission in Armenia (EUMA), including Polish participants, underscoring its role in ensuring stability in the Armenia-Azerbaijan border region.
