Gen. Robert Głąb will take the position of Deputy Chief of Staff for Resource Management in Allied Transformation Command in Norfolk, the Ministry of Defense informed. General was appointed to this position by the head of the Ministry of National Defense, Mariusz Błaszczak.
“Minister of National Defense Mariusz Błaszczak appointed Div. Gen. R. Głąb as Deputy Chief of Staff for Resource Management in the Allied Transformation Command (HQ SACT) in Norfolk,” the Ministry of National Defense announced today on Twitter.
Allied Command Transformation is one of the two strategic commands of NATO dealing with the transformation of the Organization’s military capabilities to new geopolitical requirements – its task is to test and implement new strategic doctrines, control the potentialities and capabilities of NATO troops, and conduct training and exercises. In Poland, the Command oversees the Joint Force Training Center in Bydgoszcz.
On the website of the Warsaw Garrison, of which Gen. Głąb was the last commander, it was stated that he was born on September 30, 1965 in Olkusz. He is a graduate of the Military Academy of Anti-Aircraft Defense in Koszalin and Master’s studies at the University of Warsaw.
