The liberal establishment is at it again—this time trying to smear TV Republika by absurdly linking it to Russian propaganda. Leading the charge is none other than Cezary Tomczyk, a deputy minister in Donald Tusk’s government, who edited together footage from Russian state TV and TV Republika in a clear attempt to discredit the network.
A Cheap Trick
Tomczyk’s misleading video tries to paint TV Republika as a Kremlin mouthpiece, but it’s nothing more than a desperate distraction from the real scandal—an ongoing investigation into an attempted coup. As expected, Tusk and his allies in the media eagerly jumped on the bandwagon, mocking the case on social media and pretending that only Russia, Belarus, and Hungary are talking about it. The reality? Major Western media outlets are covering the story too.

What’s Really Going On?
This attack on TV Republika is just the latest example of Tusk’s government trying to silence independent conservative media. By throwing out baseless accusations, they hope to scare people away from the one major network willing to challenge them.
Michał Rachoń, TV Republika’s program director, didn’t hold back in his response:
“Tomczyk, like his boss Tusk, won’t answer questions from TV Republika’s journalists in parliament or the Prime Minister’s office. Instead, they just attack us online.”
He also pointed out that by spreading manipulated content, Tomczyk is actually feeding Russian disinformation himself. The hypocrisy is staggering.
Tusk’s Government and Its Shady Past
It’s laughable that Tusk’s team is pointing fingers when they have their own questionable ties to Russia:
- Krzysztof Dusza, still a top counterintelligence official, took part in meetings with Russia’s FSB during Tusk’s last term.
- Dariusz Pilarz, now involved in the illegal Pegasus commission, spent years working on Polish-Russian intelligence cooperation.
- Tomasz Siemoniak, currently overseeing special services, allowed Russian military officials to travel freely in Poland under Tusk’s previous government and now acts like he doesn’t remember.
And here’s something even more suspicious—anyone within Tusk’s camp who ever questioned these Russian ties has been sidelined. What are they trying to hide?
We Won’t Be Silenced
The attack on TV Republika isn’t just about one news station—it’s about the future of free speech in Poland. But as Rachoń said:
“No matter how hard you try to smear us, we will keep exposing the truth about your dirty Russian connections.”
