Minister Zbigniew Rau takes part in Prespa Forum for Dialogue

At the invitation of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Northern Macedonia, Bujar Osmani, the Head of Polish diplomacy travelled to the Macedonian city of Ohrid on Thursday (1 June) to take part in the inaugural edition of the Prespa Forum for Dialogue, an international conference organized under the patronage of the Prime Minister of Northern Macedonia, Zoran Zaev, under the banner of “Western Balkans: The Missing Puzzle for Completing Europe”.

Its concept refers to the historic agreement with Greece, signed on June 17, 2018, at Prespa Lake, which ended a dispute over the country’s name that lasted more than a quarter of a century and enabled North Macedonia to join NATO.

Together with the Prime Ministers of Serbia, Albania, Kosovo and Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as his Austrian and Turkish counterparts, Minister Rau will take part in a panel discussion on synergies of EU and US activities in the Western Balkans. On the sidelines of the Forum, a meeting with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of European Affairs of North Macedonia Nikola Dimitrov is also scheduled.
