He teaches something absolutely unique, something that is still essential today, said Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki about the works of Cyprian Kamil Norwid. On Wednesday, the head of government participated in the gala summarizing the competitions concerning the life and work of the artist Cyprian Kamil Norwid. He announced that “Norwid teaches us that man is not a lonely island”.
The Prime Minister pointed out that Norwid was an extremely versatile artist. He was not only interested in words, but was also able to draw, paint, and was also a philosopher.
“He was an extremely deep and versatile artist,” he assessed.
He also expressed satisfaction that in the difficult year of the pandemic, “we could benefit from his great heritage and creativity so wonderfully”.
Morawiecki also pointed out that Norwid taught him very much about the great value of work.
“Work that builds man, humanity, societies, and nations is a comprehensive and important value; work as a superior value,” said the Prime Minister.
“He taught me that a person must be measured with the depth of its spirit. That who one is, who wants to be, is primarily determined by one’s spirit,” he added.
