There are no Russians, but there is a “Russian War Crimes House.” A powerful exhibition in Davos [PHOTOS]

The World Economic Forum is beginning in Davos. No Russians will take part in it, but there will be an opportunity to see the “Russian War Crimes House.” The motto of this year’s Forum is “History at a Turning Point: Government Policies and Business Strategies.”

The World Economic Forum has begun. Without Russians…

On Sunday (May 22), the World Economic Forum starts in Davos, Switzerland. There are plenty of topics for discussion, taking into account the ongoing war in Ukraine. Importantly, no Russians take part in the WEF. This is an extremely important fact because in the case of previous editions there was no shortage of boozy events sponsored by oligarchs.

Among the guests of the Forum, there will be 50 leaders of countries and international organizations from all over the world. Poland will be represented by President Andrzej Duda and Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki. A video speech by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is scheduled.

… but with the “Russian War Crimes House.”

This is a building, now called the “Russian War Crimes House,” that has been filled with photographs from the war in Ukraine. Photographs show a map of the atrocities, using data provided by Ukraine’s attorney general and Amnesty International.

“The most powerful people in the world meet here in Davos, and we must show them too who is suffering and why,” the artistic director of the Pinchuk Arts Centre in Kyiv, Bjorn Geldhof, told Reuters TV.

The exhibition includes a map of war crimes in Ukraine, moving photos depicting victims of Putin’s aggression, as well as the effects of missile attacks on Ukrainian cities.

The Annual Meeting 2022 will embody the World Economic Forum’s philosophy of collaborative, multistakeholder impact, providing a unique collaborative environment in which to reconnect, share insights, gain fresh perspectives, and build problem-solving communities and initiatives. Against a backdrop of deepening global frictions and fractures, it will be the starting point for a new era of global responsibility and cooperation. (weforum.org)
