“A Better Poland for All”: President-Elect Addresses Citizens After Election Victory

“I will fulfil all the obligations of the head of state. I will ensure your security as the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces. I will do everything in my power to ensure you live in a better Poland – a prosperous and developing Poland,” said Dr Karol Nawrocki during a ceremony at the Royal Castle, where he received the resolution from the National Electoral Commission confirming the results of the presidential election.

Karol Nawrocki: “I Will Be the President of One Poland”

During his speech, the president-elect addressed the voters of Rafał Trzaskowski.

“I would also like to speak to those voters who made a different choice. I will be your president as well, dear citizens. I will be the president of one Poland. I will fulfil all the obligations of the head of state. I will ensure your security as the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces. I will do everything in my power to ensure you live in a better Poland – a prosperous and developing Poland. That is also the future needed by those who made a different decision in the recent elections,”

he stated.

He emphasized that “the President of Poland today faces a very important and difficult task – the task of tearing down the walls of hatred.”

“Tearing down the walls of hatred between Poles, between specific social groups – that is a task I am willing to take on. Dispute is an inherent part of democracy. It is the salt of democracy. We must tear down the walls of hatred and conduct a civilized political dialogue in the Polish state,”

he declared.
