The Military Gendarmerie, under the supervision of a prosecutor, is conducting activities in connection with an unidentified flying object found on the premises of a mine near Konin. The drone was discovered on Thursday.
The Voivodeship Police Headquarters in Poznań reported that a drone had been found on the premises of a lignite mine in Gałczyce in Greater Poland Voivodeship. As the Greater Poland police stated on the X platform, the report regarding the incident was received shortly after 11 a.m.
“It was a drone most likely carrying out a mission on behalf of our adversaries from the East. This matter will be clarified by the Military Gendarmerie and the police”, said the head of the Ministry of National Defence.
The prosecutor’s offices in Konin and Koło were notified of the incident.
The Military Gendarmerie in Poznań stated on the X platform that “under the supervision of a prosecutor from the Military Affairs Division of the Poznań-Grunwald District Prosecutor’s Office, activities are being carried out at the site where an unidentified aerial object was found on the premises of the lignite mine in Golczyce, Konin County.”
