A Single Gesture from Washington and the Government’s Plan Begins to Crumble

It is one of the most powerful diplomatic gestures since the election results were announced. President-elect of the Republic of Poland, Karol Nawrocki, revealed that he had a phone conversation with Donald Trump, the President of the United States. During the program “Miłosz Kłeczek Invites”, which was exceptionally hosted by Monika Borkowska, this news became the political topic of the day.

A Transatlantic Signal of Strength

The information about the conversation emerged unexpectedly during the program’s broadcast. On X, Karol Nawrocki wrote:

“I had a very good phone conversation with the President of the United States, Donald Trump. We talked about our close allied relationship and political partnership. I invited President Trump to visit Poland. I also received an invitation to meet at the White House. God bless Poland! God bless America!”

Comments from politicians and experts left no doubt: this is a strategic move on the map of international relations.

“It’s a continuation of maintaining good relations with the USA. We can see that this wise diplomacy will be continued,”

said Norbert Kaczmarczyk from Law and Justice (PiS).

Norbert Petrykowski from Poland 2050 expressed a similar sentiment, though not without subtext and jabs directed at the U.S. president.

“The President stands as a guardian of Poland’s security. It’s very good that such a conversation took place. Strengthening such relations is a very good move,”

he remarked.

Sakiewicz: Trump Doesn’t Call Just Anyone

During the program, Tomasz Sakiewicz, Editor-in-Chief of TV Republika, also commented, describing the U.S. president’s gesture toward Karol Nawrocki as a clear signal of support for stability in Poland.

“This is already the second gesture since the election, the first being congratulations. Incidentally, Ursula von der Leyen also congratulated him, which greatly stabilized the situation, especially since we have in Poland a group of political troublemakers like Giertych. This international support puts the matter to rest,”

he assessed.

He also emphasized the uniqueness of the situation:

“This is a highly significant gesture because President Trump doesn’t call every newly elected president, nor does he invite them to the White House,”

stated the Editor-in-Chief of TV Republika.

According to Sakiewicz, the president-elect not only follows the political path of Lech Kaczyński and Andrzej Duda but brings something of his own from the very beginning of his term: initiative, decisiveness, and the ability to build genuine relationships.

“He is continuing the policy of Lech Kaczyński and Andrzej Duda and is already contributing his own input from the very start,”

he emphasized.
