On Saturday, a mural depicting the renowned singer and actor Michał Bajor was unveiled on a tenement house at Oleska Street in Opole. Created by Natalia Rak, a graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Łódź, this mural now graces the city center, honoring an artist who has significantly contributed to Polish culture.
Michał Bajor’s Emotional Response
Michał Bajor himself was present at the unveiling ceremony. Overwhelmed with emotion, he expressed his gratitude and admiration for the mural. “I am deeply surprised and touched. I had the pleasure of speaking with Natalia Rak, a wonderful artist known worldwide, and I am truly impressed by her talent,” Bajor stated. His prolific career includes numerous roles in theater and film, as well as frequent performances at the Opole festival.
The mural unveiling coincided with a special concert on Friday, celebrating Bajor’s 50th anniversary since his debut in Opole. The concert, held at the Opole amphitheater, captivated the audience with Bajor’s exceptional performance. “We are part of a unique moment. Yesterday’s concert was extraordinary, and every performance by Michał Bajor is an exceptional experience,” remarked Opole’s mayor, Arkadiusz Wiśniewski.

Opole boasts an increasing number of murals, creating a unique Musical Murals Trail in Poland. The collection includes murals of Anna Jantar on Rzemieślnicza Street, Krzysztof Krawczyk at Krakowska 34A, Andrzej Nowak of TSA on Ściegiennego 7A, and Zbigniew Wodecki at Saint Sebastian Square. The Michał Bajor mural stands out, reflecting his dynamic and unparalleled talent.
