TOK FM journalist Karolina Lewicka has revealed what’s happening behind the scenes in the ruling camp following their loss in the presidential elections. Emotions are running high, and the political scenarios being discussed are growing increasingly dramatic.
Everyone’s Doing Whatever They Want
In the political podcast “Dzieje się” on TOK FM, Karolina Lewicka openly admitted that the mood within Donald Tusk’s camp is dire:
“I hear that cynicism and pragmatism are needed, but there’s no determination to act with cynicism or pragmatism. That Donald Tusk is unable to shake things up—he wasn’t able to before June 1st, and now it’s even worse. There’s no conclusive direction, everyone’s doing whatever they want,” she reported.
The journalist also passed along a blunt summary she says she’s heard repeatedly from members of the coalition since Sunday’s elections:
“I’d like to tell you that when I ask the fundamental question about the state of the coalition, I get an answer I can’t even quote on air—because it’s a word that starts with ‘s’ and is followed by an open ‘h’,” she said.
Clearly, the mood within the December 13 Coalition is bleak, and Donald Tusk’s leadership is facing growing internal criticism. As the opposition celebrates, the government descends into disorder—raising the possibility of not only personnel reshuffles in the coming months but also a deep political crisis.
