In line with his election campaign declaration, keeping U.S. troops in Poland was one of the key priorities of our president. This goal was achieved during talks with President Donald Trump, emphasized the Office of President Karol Nawrocki.
The media reported that the American military is withdrawing some of its soldiers from Romania. Reports from Bucharest stated that the United States had informed the local authorities and NATO allies that it “had decided to reduce the number of U.S. troops in Eastern Europe.”
Minister of Defence Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz responded to these reports. The Deputy Prime Minister admitted that he had not received such information, adding that this move might not concern Poland.
A fulfilled campaign promise
The Office of President Karol Nawrocki reminded that it was a campaign pledge to keep U.S. forces in Poland. “This goal was achieved during talks with President Donald Trump,” the statement emphasized.
In a short video, it was highlighted that the continued presence of American troops in our country is “the result of determination and effective diplomacy” by the current President of Poland. During his visit to the White House, Karol Nawrocki said that “American soldiers are part of our community,” referring to about 10,000 U.S. service members who have been stationed in Poland for years. During the same meeting in the Oval Office, Donald Trump said important words: “We have a very special relationship. We stand with Poland completely and will help her defend herself,” declared the President of the United States.
