Another Drone Crashes on Military Base. Military Police Investigate

Yesterday, a small unmanned aerial vehicle was found on the premises of the 2nd Mechanized Battalion in Morąg. The local branch of the Military Police is conducting procedural actions.

The spokesperson for the Commander-in-Chief of the Military Police, Col. Paweł Durka, announced that the Military Police unit in Morąg is carrying out procedural activities in connection with the discovery, on February 16 this year, of a small UAV on the premises of the 2nd Mechanized Battalion in Morąg.

Preliminary findings indicate that the object did not have military characteristics and did not cause any damage.

Military Police Remind of Penalties

The Military Police remind that, under the Aviation Law, conducting flights using an aircraft, including over military areas and facilities, constitutes a criminal offense punishable by up to five years of imprisonment.

It should be recalled that in recent times there have been numerous cases of various types of unmanned vehicles – drones and balloons – entering Polish territory from the direction of Belarus.
