Another Russian drone in Lublin region. The Prosecutor’s Office released new information

Cyrillic inscriptions were found on a drone discovered near the border crossing in Terespol. The information was provided by the spokesperson of the District Prosecutor’s Office in Lublin, Prosecutor Agnieszka Kępka. This is yet another such incident in recent days.

Last night, in the area of the border crossing in Terespol, the remains of an unidentified flying object were discovered. The information was reported by Biała Police. In their statement, the officers added that they had informed the services and the prosecutor’s office about the incident.

On Monday morning, more details about the find were provided by the spokesperson of the District Prosecutor’s Office in Lublin, Prosecutor Agnieszka Kępka. As she explained, about 300 meters from the border crossing, specifically in the village of Polatycze, a drone was found which “was probably not armed.”

“There are Cyrillic inscriptions on it. These are the preliminary findings” – she said.

On site are, among others, the Military Police and two prosecutors. The case is being investigated by the Military Division of the District Prosecutor’s Office in Lublin.

Prosecutor Kępka reported that ŻW officers had already questioned border guards from the Nadbużański Border Guard Unit, who discovered the crash site of the machine. “One person who heard the sound of this drone has also been questioned” – she informed.

She added that surveillance footage is also being secured, which may make it possible to determine the drone’s flight path and the direction from which it came. At the crash site, measurements are being taken, including the distance between the debris, and traces are being collected.

Another incident

It is worth emphasizing that this is not the first such incident in recent days in the Lublin region. On Saturday around 5:40 p.m., Tomaszów Police received a report through the Emergency Notification Center about the discovery of the remains of an unidentified object in the village of Majdan-Sielec, located in Krynice municipality.

According to the prosecutor’s office, the machine was made of material resembling styrofoam. In an interview with Polsat News, the resident on whose field the drone crashed said that it had Russian inscriptions.
