Are They Following Ziobro? TVN Reporter Clearly Irritated by Questions from TV Republika. WATCH THE VIDEO

Television station TVN appeared almost instantly at the location in Budapest where TV Republika journalist Janusz Życzkowski was interviewing Zbigniew Ziobro. An attempt to determine how the crew from Wiertnicza Street knew the former minister would be at that exact spot ended in a sharp exchange.

Former Minister of Justice Zbigniew Ziobro—who is being pursued by the prosecution supervised by Waldemar Żurek in the case of the Justice Fund—gave an interview today to TV Republika. “What is happening today is the result of the government, and at the same time the desire for revenge, of Donald Tusk. I will resist it,” he declared.

Moments after Republika began broadcasting the conversation, a TVN24 crew appeared on the scene. MP Ziobro answered a few of their questions, got into a taxi, and drove away. But the conversation wasn’t over.

“Just out of curiosity—how did you know the minister would be here?” Życzkowski asked.
“We watch Republika, sir,” the TVN reporter replied.

When asked whether they had been waiting there long, Życzkowski’s interlocutor became visibly irritated. “I’m not going to give you that information,” he said, insisting he had his own journalistic sources and methods. He then began attacking TV Republika, speaking about “partisan journalism” and repeating talking points frequently aired on his station. He also targeted Janusz Życzkowski directly: “You cooperate with a political party,” he claimed.

“I tried to establish whether they had received information from the security services, or whether the minister was being tracked or wiretapped. In response—arrogant behavior,” Życzkowski summarized.
