“In these times, when people lock themselves away in their mobile phones, in their smartphones. In these times, when the Russians, through their propaganda, do everything to set people against each other, a meeting such as this one has double the value,” said former Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki in an interview with the portal Niezalezna.pl during the 11th Extraordinary Congress of the Gazeta Polska Clubs.
From September 12–14 in Sulejów, the 11th Extraordinary Congress of the Gazeta Polska Clubs took place. Among the guests at the event was former Prime Minister and leader of the European Conservatives and Reformists, Mateusz Morawiecki. In his conversation with Niezalezna.pl, he emphasised the importance of the gathering.
“In these times, when people lock themselves away in their mobile phones, in their smartphones. In these times, when the Russians, through their propaganda, do everything to set people against each other, a meeting such as this one has double the value, because, first of all, it brings together a powerful group of people with a patriotic attitude, and secondly, the exchange of views, the building of relationships, even discussions among ourselves at such direct meetings, have great value,”
he said.
He added that at events like this, “various positions are confronted.” “People arrange various activities, tasks, and we look for different solutions,” he added. The former Prime Minister stressed that he believes the Congress of the Gazeta Polska Clubs not only has a beautiful tradition but is also “very important for the future.”
He noted that if he is invited again next year, he will also attend.
