Bąkiewicz Will Not Be Intimidated: “We Have the Right to Keep an Eye on the Treacherous Government”

Mr. Bodnar, the drones will keep flying, patrols will remain on the ground, and the recordings will continue to be published online. Because we have the right to monitor a treacherous government, and no matter how hard you try, you won’t be able to imprison us all. Your end is near, wrote Robert Bąkiewicz on X in response to yesterday’s decision by Bodnar regarding him.

Tusk’s Vindictiveness Knows No Bounds

Bodnar reversed the decision to suspend the penalty imposed on Bąkiewicz, which had been made under the clemency procedure initiated in November 2023. The penalty involved mandatory community service. In December 2023, Bąkiewicz was sentenced for “violating the bodily integrity” of well-known anti-PiS provocateur Katarzyna Augustynek, whom Bodnar refers to in an official statement as “Grandma Kasia.”

“The decision to suspend the execution of the penalty under the clemency procedure may be revoked at any time by the authority that issued it, if the circumstances on which it was based have changed before the case is resolved. Adam Bodnar, upon reassessing Robert Bąkiewicz’s request, determined that there are currently no grounds to justify the continued suspension of the penalty,” explained prosecutor Anna Adamiak, spokesperson for the Prosecutor General, in a Thursday statement.

In this way, Tusk, through Bodnar, strikes at Bąkiewicz, who has become, alongside the Border Defence Movement, a symbol of the fight for Poland’s security. A fight that Tusk disapproves of, as it hinders Berlin’s plan to offload unwanted migrants onto Polish territory.
