Beata Kempa on the Case of Anna Wójcik: Tusk’s Regime Is Instrumentalizing the Prosecutor’s Office

Beata Kempa stated on Miłosz Kłeczek’s program that Donald Tusk’s regime is using the prosecutor’s office as a political tool, and she criticized prosecutors for complying so readily. She also highlighted how poorly women are treated in such cases. “The case of Ms. Anna Wójcik is a show trial,” she said on TV Republika.

An Atmosphere of Fear

Kempa, from the Chancellery of the President of Poland, recalled the arrests of female employees from the Ministry of Justice, who—like Anna Wójcik—were handcuffed with restraining cuffs and treated like hardened criminals. She also referenced the detention of PiS MP Dariusz Matecki, “who has a young child and whose parents are suffering greatly.”

“The regime we currently have demonstrates just how heavily the prosecutor’s office is being used for political purposes. Inside, there are people who submissively take part in these actions, form teams, and do not refuse to participate in activities that may break the law,” she stated on the program High Voltage.

According to her, the prosecutor’s office should have taken Anna Wójcik’s family situation into account from the very beginning of the proceedings. “It’s possible that the goal was to break Anna Wójcik by using her love for her sick child against her. It was similar in the case of the other female officials,” she said.

Kempa also emphasized that the Internal Security Agency (ABW) is now being used against volunteer firefighters and municipal officials from various towns and cities who applied for funding from the Justice Fund. “This is an atmosphere of imposed terror,” she added.

Also appearing on the program was PiS MP Przemysław Czarnek, who pointed out that “today, people are being imprisoned even though they pose no threat to society.”

“Ms. Anna Wójcik was shackled by both hands and feet and kept in prison, even though she was essential to her son’s well-being. Telewizja Republika revealed that in Mr. Szopa’s testimony, there is no mention of any bribe being given to anyone,” he noted.
