“Best pilots deserve the best equipment.” Poland’s first F-35s arrive in Łask

The first three F-35 multirole fighter jets for the Polish Armed Forces have arrived at the 32nd Tactical Air Base in Łask. During the ceremony, Paweł Szefernaker, head of President Karol Nawrocki’s office, stressed that the delivery marks an important stage in the modernization of the Polish Armed Forces and is the result of decisions made during the NATO summit in Warsaw, as well as the signing of the contract in 2020. “Today, the world’s best pilots are receiving the world’s best equipment,” the presidential representative said.

Speaking during the ceremony in Łask, Szefernaker emphasized that Poland’s first F-35s represent a major reinforcement for the Polish Armed Forces and a significant investment.

“The world’s best pilots are receiving the world’s best equipment today,”

the head of the president’s office said.

He added that the arrival of the first F-35s in Poland marks the culmination of a process launched back in 2016 during the NATO summit in Warsaw. Part of that process, he noted, was the “bold decision” made in 2020 by then-Defence Minister Mariusz Błaszczak to sign the agreement that now allows the Polish military to possess what he described as the best equipment in the world.

On behalf of the president, he thanked everyone involved in the project, especially the soldiers, pilots, and technical personnel.

Szefernaker also said that, for Karol Nawrocki, security has been a priority since the first day of his presidency. He assured that the president would support the government in efforts aimed at strengthening and developing the Polish military.
